WHY INSPECT HEAT EXCHANGER TUBES?

The multitubular bundles of heat exchangers (condensers and evaporators) are exposed to chemical, mechanical, thermal, and vibrational stresses associated with their operating conditions. This can lead to premature deterioration, resulting in malfunctions and potentially irreversible failures.

A Non-Destructive Eddy Current Inspection helps protect you from the disruptions and costs associated with equipment failures, while preventing premature deterioration of your systems.

Advanced computer analysis and real-time interpretation of the signals collected by the eddy current probe make it possible to detect pitting, cracks, notches, bulges, worn areas, or other tube defects by comparison with the reference tube essential for the inspection. Damaged tubes are then isolated from the bundle by sealing.

Non-Destructive Eddy Current Inspections are strictly governed by COFREND and the NF EN 9712 standard.

ADVANTAGES OF THE NTUC / NTUE PROGRAMME

Prevention of unplanned shutdown risks

Performance optimisation

Reduction in energy consumption

Increased equipment lifespan

FEATURES OF THE NTUC / NTUE PROGRAMME

Video endoscopy inspection makes it possible to verify the quality of the eddy current inspection step by step.

This makes it possible to observe non-compliant tubes, determine the cause (such as freezing, cracking, notching, etc.), and seal them, thereby allowing your equipment to be restarted safely.
